VTS - How to Get Your Vehicle Tax Receipt Online

To obtain a copy of your vehicle taxes paid:
 

NCDMV provides a Vehicle Property Tax Fee receipt through its online services portal.
Customers can log in to their MyNCDMV account to view, download, or print prior vehicle tax payment receipts.

If you are unable to access records online, copies may also be requested at any license plate agency.

How to Get Your Vehicle Tax Receipt Online

1. Visit the official NCDMV portal at edmv.ncdot.gov/MyDMV/Account/Login.
2. Log in using:
   • Your driver’s license number
   • The last four digits of your Social Security number (or ID/Alien Registration number)
   • Your birth date
3. Once logged in, open the Correspondence section on your dashboard.
4. Under VEH PROP TAX FEE, select the tax year you need.
5. View, save, or print your vehicle property tax receipt for income tax filing.
