Appeals to the Board of Equalization & Review may include a hearing. Beginning each spring, the Board meets regularly, with the number and frequency of meetings determined by the appeal caseload. Tax Administration will mail an appointment letter with the date and time of your hearing, typically two to three weeks in advance.
Hearings are held on the lower level of the Wake County Commons Building at 4011 Carya Drive, Raleigh, NC, with free parking available.
After the adjournment date, the BOER meets monthly to hear appeals. Upcoming hearing dates can be found on the Wake County website under the ‘Upcoming Scheduled Hearings’ section.
You will be contacted by a Tax Administration appraiser to review the details of your case; they will provide additional information regarding how the BOER will review the appeal.
