Pay Online by Credit Card, Debit Card, or Digital Wallet

Wake County Tax Administration has extended its payment options available to pay online with cards and digital wallets.

Credit and debit cards accepted include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. 

Digital wallets accepted include PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

There is a transaction limit of $50,000 for card and wallet payments.

A processing fee is charged by our payment provider for the secure handling of your online payment. This fee is not retained by Wake County. The fee will be disclosed prior to payment authorization and is based on the payment method.

• Credit Card: 2.3% of the amount paid; minimum fee of $1.00
• Debit Card: Flat fee of $3.95
• Digital Wallet: 2.3% of the amount paid, regardless of the bank account or card type used; minimum fee of $1.00

In Office: Credit and debit cards, as well as digital wallets, may only be used at our Wake County Tax Administration office located inside the Wake County Justice Center at 301 S. McDowell St., Ste 3800, Raleigh, NC 27601. 
 
Please note that eCheck/ACH drafts, cards, and digital wallets may not be used when making a prepayment of taxes.
